Bāhubali 2: The Conclusion – Synopsis (No Spoilers)
Set in the kingdom of Mahishmati, Bāhubali 2: The Conclusion follows Mahendra, the young man known as Sivudu, who has discovered that he is the son of Amarendra Bāhubali. That discovery leaves him with questions about his family, his birthright and the throne he was born to. To answer them, the film moves back and forth in time. In the present, Mahendra’s search leads him toward his heritage. In the past, the story turns to Amarendra Bāhubali’s era in Mahishmati, with the royal court under Sivagami, the rivalry with his cousin Bhallaladeva, the ambitions of Bijjaladeva and the loyalty of the warrior Kattappa.
The past also takes viewers beyond Mahishmati to the Kunthala Kingdom, where Amarendra crosses paths with Devasena. The two timelines run side by side and build the larger story of a royal family, a contested crown and the choices that shaped a dynasty. As the second and concluding chapter of the saga, the film is designed to bring the story begun in the first part to its close.
