Dhoomakethu (2026) Synopsis: A Wedding Day That Refuses to End
Kuttan, whose full name is Lalith Kumar, is 36 and finally about to get married. His big day, however, begins on an unsettling note. Before he is even out of bed, he has a dream in which he dies, and the feeling stays with him.
The wedding preparations go ahead, but small things start to feel strangely familiar. Conversations, faces and moments seem to come back around, and Kuttan finds it harder and harder to tell what is happening now from what he already remembers. Once he accepts that the day itself has gone wrong, he has to work out what is causing it, and he has to do it quickly, before everything resets once more.
Dhoomakethu puts this mind-bending situation inside the most chaotic day in a Malayali family’s calendar. It mixes the suspense of a thriller with the humour of comedy and follows one man trying to make sense of a day that keeps slipping out of his control.
