Synopsis: An Ocean Adventure for Doraemon and Friends

Doraemon the Movie: New Nobita and the Castle of the Undersea Devil (original Japanese title: 映画ドラえもん 新・のび太の海底鬼岩城) takes the familiar gang far beneath the waves. Nobita, Shizuka, Gian and Suneo set off with Doraemon on an underwater expedition and soon come upon a hidden castle on the sea floor. The structure seems to hold great riches and many unanswered questions.

Doraemon’s futuristic gadgets let the children explore an ocean world they could never reach on their own. Along the way they meet new faces, including a character named Eru and a talking Underwater Buggy. The deeper the group goes, the more they need each other’s courage and quick thinking.

The film builds its story around exploration, the idea of a lost civilisation and the bonds between friends. It keeps the light comedy and warmth that Doraemon fans in India know from the TV series, set this time against a sweeping undersea backdrop.
