Plot: What Is New Nobita and the Castle of the Undersea Devil About?
The ocean is the playground this time. Doraemon, Nobita and their usual group, Shizuka, Gian and Suneo, head beneath the waves using the futuristic gadgets that only the blue robot cat from the 22nd century can provide. What starts as a fun underwater exploration soon becomes something bigger. The friends discover traces of a lost civilization hidden on the sea floor, a world full of secrets and a mysterious castle at its heart.
The deep sea is not a calm place. Earthquakes and underwater volcanic activity add danger to the journey, and the gang has to rely on each other as much as on Doraemon’s pocket of inventions. Along the way they meet new faces, including a character named Eru, and the trip turns into a test of courage and friendship. The film follows the classic Doraemon formula: everyday kids, extraordinary tools and an adventure far bigger than any of them expected. It sets up the mystery of the undersea castle without needing any prior knowledge of the series.
