Ebenezer (2026): Cast, Plot & PH Release Date

Ebenezer (2026) Plot: What We Know So Far

The tagline sums up the angle: “Before he was Scrooge, he was…” Ebenezer returns to Victorian London and the 19th-century world of literature’s most famous miser, Ebenezer Scrooge, and treats his story as a gothic fantasy.

The outline follows the Christmas tale many Filipino viewers grew up with. Scrooge is a bitter, penny-pinching old man. During one long holiday night, a series of supernatural visitors pulls him out of his comfortable isolation. The first is the spirit of Jacob Marley, his late partner, followed by the Ghosts of Christmas Past and Present.

The cast list includes actors playing Scrooge as a young man and as a child. That suggests the film will spend real time on his earlier years and on how he became the man he is. The keywords point to themes of self-reflection, redemption and the search for happiness, wrapped in a darker, ghost-filled atmosphere. The film still keeps a comedic streak.

Full plot details beyond this premise have not been revealed, and this page stays spoiler-free.
