Forgotten Island (2026) guide: DreamWorks' Filipino-mythology adventure with Liza Soberano and H.E.R. Plot, cast, PH release date and where to watch.

Forgotten Island Plot: What the Story Is About (No Spoilers)

High school is over, and best friends Jo and Raissa have one last night together before life sends them in different directions. Their farewell celebration becomes something else when a magic portal opens and pulls them out of the ordinary world. They land on Nakali, a strange and colourful island filled with mythical creatures drawn from Filipino mythology.

Getting there was easy. Getting back is not. The two discover that leaving Nakali has a painful price: every memory they share as friends. Years of inside jokes, shared secrets and growing up side by side could be gone, and the island’s magic is already working against them. Jo and Raissa have to search Nakali for another way home before they stop recognising each other.

The film’s tagline, “No memory left behind,” sums up its emotional stakes. At its core, Forgotten Island is a coming-of-age story about friendship, found family and the people who shape who we are, set against a fantasy world rooted in Filipino culture.
