The Night Comes For Us (2018): Timo Tjahjanto's Indonesian action thriller with Joe Taslim and Iko Uwais. Plot, cast and how to stream it on Netflix PH.

The Night Comes For Us: Plot Without Spoilers

Ito, played by Joe Taslim, is a feared enforcer in an elite unit working for a Triad crime syndicate operating in Indonesia. His job is to kill without hesitation, and for years he has done it well. Everything changes during a brutal massacre, when Ito makes an unexpected choice and lets a young girl live.

That single act of mercy has immediate consequences. Ito is no longer the hunter but the hunted, and a relentless wave of murderous gangsters is sent to finish him. With the city turning into a battleground, he has to fight his way through one deadly encounter after another while trying to protect the life he chose to save.

The film’s tagline sums up its tone: “In search of salvation, he’ll make the city rain blood.” At its core, this is a story about a killer trying to step away from the violence that defined him, told through non-stop, close-quarters combat. Iko Uwais, Julie Estelle and Sunny Pang round out the central cast.
