Plot: What Is The People Under the Stairs About?
In a struggling neighbourhood, one big house stands apart. It is the kind of place adults whisper about and kids avoid on the way home. It belongs to a reclusive couple known only as Man and Woman, who are also landlords holding power over the families around them.
A young boy called Fool, from a poor family facing pressure from these landlords, ends up taking part in a break-in at the house. The plan falls apart fast. Fool finds himself locked inside a heavily secured home patrolled by a guard dog and ruled by two unpredictable owners.
As he searches for a way out, Fool learns that the house hides far more than money. Something moves inside the walls, and the couple’s daughter, Alice, seems to be living under their strict control. What begins as a desperate escape turns into a tense, darkly funny fight to survive a home that seems built to keep people in.
