A Shop for Killers plot: what the series is about
Jeong Ji-an lost her parents when she was young. She was raised by her uncle, Jeong Jin-man, who runs a shopping mall business. Their life together looks quiet on the surface, but Jin-man is a guarded man whose past he rarely talks about.
That changes when Jin-man dies suddenly and under mysterious circumstances. Ji-an is left with questions and with the business he built. She soon realizes that the shop, as the title suggests, was never an ordinary store. Its world involves guns, hacking and the dark web, and the people tied to it are far more dangerous than the customers of any normal mall.
As threats close in around her, Ji-an has to rely on what her uncle taught her and figure out who she can trust. The series moves between her present-day fight to stay alive and the slowly revealed history of the man who raised her.
