Love in the Clouds Plot: What the Series Is About
Love in the Clouds (original title: 入青云) is a Chinese xianxia romance set in the Hexu Six Realms. The world’s fighters gather every year at the Qingyun Conference, a tournament where reputations are made and lost. Ming Yi is a formidable warrior goddess known for her icy composure, and she has held the top spot for seven years in a row. Her reign ends when Ji Bozai beats her. He is a fighter from the Jixing Abyss with a convict’s past, and the victory turns the former prisoner into the realm’s newest celebrity almost overnight.
Ming Yi does not simply accept defeat and move on. She conceals who she really is and takes on the role of a dancer so she can stay close to the man who toppled her. Both leads guard secrets of their own, so each conversation becomes a test of who is fooling whom. Beneath the masks and mixed motives, the pair is also drawn into a larger struggle over justice and fairness. Their game of deception slowly gives way to something far harder to control: genuine attraction.
