MobLand plot: what the series is about
MobLand is a British-American crime drama set in the underworld of London, England. At its centre is the Harrigan family, a crime dynasty whose “family business” stretches into drug trafficking and the kind of deals that rely on fixers, favours and the occasional corrupt cop. When tensions with a rival mob family boil over, a full-blown gang war takes shape, and the fallout reaches far beyond the streets.
The Harrigans are headed by Conrad and Maeve, with relatives such as Kevin, Bella, Eddie and Seraphina also drawn into the family’s affairs. Alongside them is Harry Da Souza, a figure whose own household, including Jan and Gina Da Souza, is never far from the danger. As loyalties are tested, suspicion and betrayal threaten to split the family from within just as pressure mounts from outside.
True to its tagline, “Chaos reigns”, the series focuses on power, survival and the cost of protecting a criminal empire. Expect murder, shifting alliances and brutal violence rather than a light-hearted gangster romp.
