Forgotten Island: Plot Summary (No Spoilers)

Jo and Raissa have been inseparable for years, and with high school finally behind them, they have one last night together before their lives head in different directions. That farewell takes an unexpected turn when the two friends find a strange portal and are pulled through it into Nakali, a vibrant island populated by creatures drawn from Filipino mythology.

Nakali is dazzling, but leaving it comes with a terrible condition. The way back home demands that they give up their memories, specifically every shared moment that has made them best friends. Rather than accept that loss, Jo and Raissa set out across the island to find another exit, aware that time is working against them and that their bond could slip away the longer they stay.

Along the way they cross paths with a colourful collection of island characters, including Raww, Batiba, Bungi and the regal King Truffle Wuffle. At its heart, the story is a coming-of-age adventure about friendship, memory and what it means to hold on to the people who shaped you. The film’s tagline sums up the stakes: “No memory left behind.”
