Lucky Strike (2026): a WWII action film by Rod Lurie starring Scott Eastwood. Plot summary, cast, release date and where to rent or buy it in the US.

Lucky Strike plot summary (no spoilers)

Winter, 1944. The Battle of the Bulge is underway, and the German offensive has thrown Allied lines into chaos. Lucky Strike follows an American soldier who ends up cut off from his unit, injured and stranded on the wrong side of the front.

Rescue is not coming. Getting home means crossing hostile ground on his own. With German forces all around him, he has to depend on sharp instincts, the tradecraft of espionage and a handheld radio that may be his only link to friendly forces. Every move carries the risk of capture, and every decision could close or open his path back to the American lines.

The film is built around a single, urgent question: can one wounded man outwit the enemy long enough to return to his comrades? Drawing on a true story, it blends behind-enemy-lines survival with the tension of a spy thriller, set against one of the defining battles of the Second World War. The tagline sums up its focus: “One man’s fight to survive.”
