Street Fighter (2026) guide: plot summary without spoilers, Andrew Koji and Noah Centineo cast, US release date, audience reception and where to watch.

Street Fighter (2026) Plot Summary: No Spoilers

The year is 1993, and Ryu and Ken Masters, two fighters who once shared a bond, are no longer on speaking terms. Their separate lives are interrupted when Chun-Li, a fighter whose intentions are not immediately clear, approaches them with an invitation to the World Warrior Tournament. It is a gruelling international competition where combatants settle everything with their fists.

The tournament is not quite what it seems. Something far more dangerous is unfolding behind the brackets and the bouts. As the stakes rise, Ryu and Ken find their fractured friendship tested in the most direct way possible, and each must confront unresolved history that neither has managed to leave behind.

The film blends hand-to-hand combat with fantasy elements and superhuman powers. It brings a wide roster of familiar fighters into one arena and leans into the battle-royale energy of the source material. Its tagline sums up the attitude: “Ready. Set. Fight.” This synopsis covers only the premise. How the conspiracy plays out, and where the rivalry between Ryu and Ken ends up, is left for viewers to discover.
