House of Ninjas plot summary
The Tawara household looks like any ordinary Japanese family, but behind the everyday routine lies a hidden lineage. Its members come from a long line of ninjas, and they once worked in the shadows. That life is now behind them: they stepped away from clandestine work years ago and have been trying to live quietly ever since.
The retirement does not hold. A series of growing threats pulls the family back into the world they left, and they are pressed into covert operations once more. Haru Tawara, played by Kento Kaku, stands at the centre of the story as a reluctant figure who must face a past he would rather forget.
The return to secret missions is complicated by what happens inside the house. Tensions run between generations, rivalry simmers among siblings, and old wounds have not healed. The series combines espionage, undercover assignments, martial arts and a wider conspiracy involving a secret society and a government agency. At its core, House of Ninjas is a family drama about people who must learn to work together again while danger closes in around them.
